538018 2007-04-08 06:45:00 Meh, Why is that an issue?

I'm sure if I shouted my crew a game of Paintball they would instead ask for a crate of beer.Team-building maybe just a buzzword,But it cant hurt to do something for the workers.

Because, as implied in pctek's web reference, if staff/workers are so disaffected that it is deemed by management they need to go on a team building course, then there is something rotten in the state of Denmark, and no amount of so-called team building is going to produce a team with high morale. Quite the contrary in fact, they will end up even more cynical about their management.

Shouting a paint ball game or a day out somewhere, is something different, more like a reward, whereas an order to "thou shalt attend a team building course" just doesn't build a team.

538020 2007-04-08 07:33:00 I was suprised at how little paintball hurt. I had been told how bad it was, and you had to go dressed up with all these layers cause it hurt bad. But when I actually got shot by one on the arm, I hardly noticed it. I guess multiple hits would start to hurt, but yeah...Mate... you evidently didn't get shot by someone using a "pro" gun using the smallest legit size paintball. Being shot by something like that can draw blood. Both me and my sister can testify to that. Greg (193)
538021 2007-04-08 07:54:00 When I first went to paintball we used a rifle, It held 10 paintballs, To reload you pointed it at the sky and rolled it to the left, then lowered it to the firing position, Usually 8 people would have shot you while you went through thios process, or some smart bugger would run over and shoot you point blank.

Then we moved onto much more powerful sleek looking multifiring devices that held a hundred paintballs( 100 might be pushing it a bit?) and could fire them all with a few seconds, At close range they caused welts, I caught 5 in the face while sprinting at the shooter....and was convinced my face had been shot off....lmao.

538023 2007-04-08 08:47:00 Possibly divide the team in half and use a debate. Communication usually solves issues. Put people you know have differences on the same team.

Invite the two teams to your place and shout Pizza or Burgers etc.

The subject matter I will leave to "never-u-mind". Pick a subject the people in the whole team are able to talk about.

never-u-mind SHOULD know the people involved and their age. No point in having a debate about sex, religion or politics with any person.

I can TRY to put up a convincing arguement that one plus one does not equal two. I think it usually does but I can be wrong.

Depending on the length of a season in the sport he/she may be able to get all involved to debate a couple of issues.

Wait! 5 1/2 members per divided Team?

538025 2007-04-08 10:53:00 Are you having problems with your team, that you need to do "Team Building" exercises or do you just want to have a Social get together.
If it's a social type thing ...Ten Pin bowling is always good or just have a BBQ
at someones house...Bring a plate.

Remember there is no I or U in TEAM.

Here we go with communication once again. I have a few plates here.
I would guess you would expect I bring a PLATE with FOOD on it. You did not say that however did you?

What is said as opposed to what you mean could be different.

Yes Sweep you are correct I should of said bring a plate of food...How silly of me to forget that not everyone knows the term bring a plate. And even if they had just brought a plate at least they would have something to eat their steak and salad on.
