Try Smart Defrag (www.iobit.com) Its small and free Have you checked to see if anything is running in PIO mode (your IDE cd's / dvds / hdd's)?? Press windows key + pause / hardware / device manager / IDE / Ata controllers Look under / double click on the primary / secondary entries (whatever the IDE devices are on in the case). Do any of them say PIO under the advanced settings tab ? |
