737209 2009-01-11 05:57:00 Nah, back up her data and do a format and fresh install. It'd be so bloated and filled with rubbish by now anyway. pctek (84)
737210 2009-01-11 06:09:00 Wit NT password you can just delete the password and set a new one or just leave it blank, so why not take that option gary67 (56)
737211 2009-01-11 06:25:00 Gary67 I have already done that but thought that a system restore would change it all back but not to sure.

pctek I would love to do that but don't have a copy of xp to put back on it and not sure if I could get all the drivers of the net.

It does have a xp key code on the side of the box so I suppose if I can find a xp cd I could use that registration code.

I ran ccleaner registry edit and got passed what was stalling TR then TR found a few things I disabled but still can't get into normal boot mode.

I'll find a friend with xp and try to find some drivers or I am in need of some target practice with my air rifle.

Thanks to all who helped

737212 2009-01-11 06:38:00 So WHAT did TR find??

You would probably have to find an OEM CD (depending on what kind of system this is ), to fix it. If you had to format it

737213 2009-01-11 07:33:00 Can't remember something in the registry and some service .dll file I will check

Just ran registry clean again and it was all still there I think It was probably system restore that put it all back on.

I'll turn it off and run all again, might take the harddrive out and put it on my machine and scan it from there if I can find an IDE cable I should have 100's
