the end part, after it copied the files, along the registering components/saving settings with like 5mins to go it just resets |

yes, and i have tried numerous other windows installations (2000/XP/2003)

according to the BIOS (since i cant get an OS on there yet, CPU Temp is about 34 c and i turned off the shutdown temperature just in case. Its not a new pc, cpu is bout 3 yrs old? (intel celeron 1.7ghz) |

I guess it could be file corruption due to the suspect cable, however I doubt it........ |
