April 02, 2007 (IDG News Service) -- The owner of a blog dedicated to software patches has posted online more than 100 fixes he said are expected to be included in Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), Microsoft Corp.'s first major update to its latest Windows client OS.

Ethan Allen, owner of the The Hotfix blog and Web site, has posted a preview and information center for SP1, a site that includes many of the software patches Microsoft will include in the package, he said.

Allen works as a software quality assurance manager at a company in Bellevue, Washington, and said he received the fixes from someone close to Microsoft who has access to the technology.

537795 2007-04-03 09:24:00 I'm installing Ultimate tonight, I am one of those luckie buggars that won one from PC World, also going to give Office Pro 2007 a wiz as well.

I will choose the 64bit install as I got both discs I figure why not.

This is going onto my main work PC, so it better work!! Will be dual booting with Mepis 6.5 and using the new Vista boot loader. I will report back if anyone cares.

Hehe I won too. :D

Will install Ultimate on Sunday. Selling off Office Pro though - too powerful for my 'office' works. Besides, my family only opens MS word only about what, once every 4 months? lol

537801 2007-04-03 15:07:00 Give Bill a ring and put him right,I am sure he would appreciate a few tips..

I drove over and knocked on his door this morning, but the security dudes told me he was busy downloading videos and would prefer not be bothered right then.
