Note: Computer Reseller Claimed awhile ago PC Retail only has a margin of like 7%, whereas other areas had higher margins e.g. LCD Screens, Digital Cameras, Plasma Screens, or otherwise. |

Some parts of the market can briefly experience higher margins (usually offset by the higher development and production costs) until the competition kicks in usually with in a few months and then prices come down very rapidly until you get into the next big thing. As a general rule of thumb any common tech goods sold in hi volumes will generally have low margins. The only way to have a good double digit margin on an electronic product is to design something new and fantastic yourself and then control the distribution channels yourself. | winmacguy (3367) | ||
