738065 2009-01-12 21:46:00 Have a laptop with Outlook as the e-mail program.
Only when an e-mail is sent with an attachment of 1Mb or larger, the recipient receives the e-mail over and over again -- approx 20 times.

Standard e-mails with no attachment do not repeat.

The laptop has a reputable internet security.

The e-mail was scanned when received & is not infected.

Has anyone experienced this before?
Any idea's as to why Outlook (or the isp Xtra) resends the e-mail?
&/or what to do about it?

So simple and yet so effective.
I will give it a try and report back.

738068 2009-01-13 04:18:00 A few months back I had exactly the same problem using Outlook 2007 . I put the question to F1 and was advised to see if one of the following was the cause .

! . Stop my anti virus from scanning outgoing emails as there may have been some conflict with Outlook .

2 . To short send/receive interval .

3 Too short server time out value .

I found No 3 was the culprit in my case .
