539601 2007-04-10 01:08:00 Bus drivers have nicknamed a white cat Macavity after it has started using the No 331 several mornings a week.
The feline, which has a purple collar, gets onto the busy Walsall to Wolverhampton bus at the same stop most mornings - he then jumps off at the next stop 400m down the road, near a fish and chip shop.

539602 2007-04-10 01:59:00 Smart kiwi cats make perfectly good threads.

But English cats on buses are scraping the bottom of the Chat barrel, surely?

(School hols got that boring already..?)

Edit: Hmmm..
Already I feel it in my bones...
I'm going to be sorry I made this post...

539603 2007-04-10 02:05:00 If they had laid on a bus especially adapted for cats it would have been newsworthy - but a regular bus is not. R2x1 (4628)
539604 2007-04-10 02:22:00 Ah come on you grumps, that's a great story. Of course, it would make national news if it was here - front page of the Herald, somewhere about 6:10pm on TV3 and TV1 ..... Biggles (121)

Maybe part of what bothers me is that it will make our national news, even though it isn't here.

Just give it a day or two...

539607 2007-04-10 04:55:00 Awww ... I like cute, warm and fuzzy stories. We need more of those. Especially on the news. Even if sourced from the other side of the world. :p Jen (38)

Actually, I have been reading quite a few overseas news sites like the Beeb recently (I know... it's the school hols and I'm bored!).

I have observed that a number of our NZ 'newspapers' have been popping up with stories that were already around overseas at least 2 days previously... it's almost a time warp. Of more concern is that stories are regurgitated almost word for word- cheap journalism I say.

Yep, grumpy ole Laura :xmouth: . I like this cat story. I don't care that its from Britain. Hopefully one of our smart NZ animals will make it into the British media to offset it. A cat is a cat is a cat (in the hat).

Laura do you have a cat in your hat... hmmm

Aaah . . . actually I'm speechless for once :xmouth:

Wait . . . Bring on the killer penguins!
