Although I am pretty happy with my Xtra broadband connection, I don't think that Xtra support is that good . A classic example is setting up a 302G to use the ethernet AND USB connection . They spent hours on the phone to Xtra support and no-one got it going . I got it going in 15 minutes (which did NOT impress her BTW - I was too quick) . Whether this is the type of content for the site is debatable . I also have issues with the purchase of my last Telecom phone . At the end of the day, its all about transfer of information, not that its a "professional looking" website . Take back the web, get this commercialism of the web :p :eek: But is it really telecoms job to help you set it up on your computer? They will only ever provide general help for that type of thing, as they can obvioulsy only provide phone or email support . Being their physically, you are always going to be able to get it going a lot faster, than someone trying to do it over the phone . There are companies such a 'geeks on wheels' that are there to help people setup internet connections on people computers, for people who have zero knowledge of computers . |

| 538746 | 2007-04-16 06:28:00 | The name doesn't matter. If telecom can call ADSL1 broadband, then we can have a legitimate protest site called telescum :D ... anyway, I've kind of given up myself. Its not that I'm sad or anything, its just that no one really cares - people still say positive things about the bb speeds because they don't know better, they also don't want to learn about telecommunications... and me writing won't improve anything since no one cares. Telecom is just raping a whole country of its money as any company would. The government didn't regulate, because Labour is stupid and doesn't understand the logic of a competitive market. Overall I blame the public, because they voted for Labour and Labour didn't do their job. Simple. Until members of the public pull their heads out of their asses and understand what goes on in the world around them, I'll keep not updating the site. |
