Just a little collection We made a decision to not enable avatars because of all the childish behaviour that was prevalent at the time . It's subject to review but let's face it F1 doesn't exactly have a great track record of consistant mature behaviour -- not most folks I grant you but there's always some idiots willing to ruin things . We only turned avatars on for mods, and I'm the only one with a custom one because I'm a total ***** who likes rubbing it in . But Jen and Chill give their time to mod this forum as volunteers and can do without that kind of stupid comment . Its not a big deal and i doubt most of us will use it . turn it on for metla, hes posted helping people more than you bruce lol . |

Though with our high speed unleashed broadband surely no-one will have problems downloading 50 different avatars for each thread??? :D |

Metla does that. It drives me crazy. Where's the respect nowadays? Where's the fear? Where's the blatant bribery? OK, it's something we toy with enabling ever now and then. Obviously, I like avatars. They're fun. But I do worry that it will end up being another thing that Jen, myself and Chill will end up policing when someone decides it's time to turn pictures of Brittany Spears' butt into their avatar. And despite user options to not display avatars, the argument that if people don't like it they don't have to see it doens't really wash from a management point of view. But yeah, I know, you want em. I know we should have em. It might happen. |
