538735 2007-04-08 03:58:00 And the Teleconists stick it to the people, man. (But they can't think.)

I think you meant to say the Glorious Resistance?

Anyway, Should I have to say "within the law"?

Hell no, You made the leap into outlaw territory, No one else, I never suggested it, and the site in question isn't about blowing **** up either.

538737 2007-04-08 11:53:00 I'm amazed you would ask Billy T for input, Given half a chance he would smite your site from the internet with a single fury laden blow.

Close Metla, very close; but alas, no cigar. :D

I don't do fury, smiting, or the proffering of laden blows. I can't even offer a case of robotussin or similar recreational substance to help my friend hamstar to get over this unhealthy obsession. I could arrange the urgent delivery of a case of crabs though, that would provide an alternative itch to scratch.

However, that said and jokes aside, I have to admit to a certain (and genuine) grudging admiration for his single-mindedness of purpose in the face of total apathy on the part of Telecom. They haven't even had the decency to acknowledge his campaign, and that's the very least they could do.

Cheers

538738 2007-04-08 22:08:00 I think hamstar's point has been adequately made, and the need to continue the assault is pointless and petty.

He should also bear in mind the many hundreds or thousands of everyday New Zealand citizens who work for the company, who have no say in company policy. These good people help provide us with an invaluable service.

If it weren't Telecom providing this service it'd most likely be some other enterprise; monopolistic or not we'd be stuffed without them.

Actually they have... my friend who got fired by them for involvement (he provided the server for the site - in the US no less) said that they told him they were coming after me for legal action.

But he had his lawyer cousins look into it, and the site is untouchable. but meh. that 10layers site kicks the pants off mine :( i think i will curl up and die. Or make the site better...

Don’t curl up and die, just fix your spelling / grammar & make sure the site keep working :)

PS: hamstar you might want to remove the link to the Telescum forum in your sig, since its no longer there ;)

Yes the 10 layers site is good one. Telecom have even posted a comment on it.

538742 2007-04-11 03:10:00 The net is full of sites like this (its called free speech isn't it) . Why not take a swipe at these big faceless companies . Although I am pretty happy with my Xtra broadband connection, I don't think that Xtra support is that good .

A classic example is setting up a 302G to use the ethernet AND USB connection . They spent hours on the phone to Xtra support and no-one got it going . I got it going in 15 minutes (which did NOT impress her BTW - I was too quick) . Whether this is the type of content for the site is debatable .

I also have issues with the purchase of my last Telecom phone .

At the end of the day, its all about transfer of information, not that its a "professional looking" website . Take back the web, get this commercialism of the web :p
