Isnt the Striker a Nvidia Motherboard?, they arent known as the best when clocking quads.....are you still using 2 graphics cards? Thanks Sol, Yes the NV chipset.. Never had 2 graphic cards, I have an Asus 9800GX2. It's supposed to be SLI in a single slot. No problems with it. I've just had a mail from ASCENT. They are sending me a new motherboard and I can return the old one when I get the new one installed. Was rather surprised, rhey agreed with me that it may be faulty. Sounds like they may have struck my problem before. I won't be replacing it myself either. Have arranged with an expert to do the job for me. |

The only reason to get a Nvidia motherboard is to SLI two Nvidia graphics cards together. Most people only have one graphic card anyway so you can use a crossfire motherboard with a Nvidia graphics card sweet as. If you want to use two graphic cards on a crossfire motherboard then they have to be ATI graphic cards, but like I said most people only have one graphic card so its all good!!! For me Gigabyte motherboards have allways been good for me,I have had Asus motherboards in the past and will never buy one of them again,as I had too much problems with them and I dont need that or want that with a motherboard. So I got a Gigabyte motherboard and it was rock solid and so I have been a Gigabyte motherboard buyer ever since and I will only buy them because they have been so good for me. Once bitten twice shy F!@# YOU.=Asus!!!:badpc::yuck: Tried and true,i'll stick with you.=Gigabyte!!!:clap:thumbs::D |

But you game, so I figured your manual dexterity was just fine. Still, little wee screws that drop under things.........I'm always vacuuming the things up, they multiply when I'm not looking. I see you have found someone to remove and replace boards anyway now........which was going to be my next suggestion. |
