No problems with Seagate or WD, but Maxtor was a complete nightmare, where they replaced 4 or 5 in a row for me, with ALL of them failing Maxtors own disc testing utilities within minutes of being removed from the mylar bag. I must say many thanks and great service to their NZ distributors, who were BDT at the time (Black Diamond Technologies), who nursed me through this nightmare, and eventually gifted me a product from another manufacturer. Will NOT touch Maxtor ever again unless it is to throw it into a refuse bin. |
