| 539896 | 2007-04-11 01:32:00 | Why would anyone vote NO when they wouldn't be affected them in any way possible? Thats like voting to ban yellow curtains in Swedish bathhouses built in Turkey between 1933 and 1935, It couldn't possibly make any difference to you. |

| 539897 | 2007-04-11 01:36:00 | There is also the option of requiring avatars to be submitted for approval. That would mean more work for some people though. | Murray P (44) | ||
| 539898 | 2007-04-11 01:44:00 | Have them enabled but OFF by default, Meaning it cant bog anyone done unless they choose to have them showing. This also counters the second point, No one can be offended by what they cant see, and If someone did want to offend they can just use words, far easier. So, Admins, If you would be so kind. I agree wholeheartedly. |

Why would anyone vote NO when they wouldn't be affected them in any way possible? A lot of people browse the forum without being logged in . If avatars were introduced they should be invisible to all except those who are logged in and have them enabled . It is currently the opposite . |

| 539902 | 2007-04-11 02:48:00 | God dam i hate school holidays, this sorta post is just a tasty morsel compared to the crap we're about to be subjected to by bored school children. mabix if you don't like the forum then don't use it. GP forums let you have avatars ;) |

| 539903 | 2007-04-11 03:04:00 | All the forums that I belong to let you have avatars..except this one. I too think they should be off by default. It will be interesting to see how the vote turns out. |

GP forums let you have avatars ;) who said i didnt like this forum. Its by far one of my favourites, since its not filled with insane people ive actually bought this up before. i just think that it's stupid that we aren't allowed them. I've always had one avatar that i add to everything, and if you dont like the idea of bored school children why are you here? I know tons of bored school children that use this forum for help:cool: it's just another thing that isn't hard to do. each avatar is not even 2k in size, im on dial up and why having to load 4 avatars on page 1 of this topic didn't slow it down anyway bruce. and plus youre an admin. so dosent that mean people who do inapproprite things with there avatars can just be kicked straight away? oh and i agree wholehartedly that they should be set to off by default. let the people who want them have them and the people who dont care just stay as they are :2cents: |
