| 738438 | 2009-01-14 00:10:00 | Hi everyone, I'm running Windows 7 but I expect that the steps will be similar to Vista. I've paired my phone with my laptop and would like to transfer my photos onto the computer. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to browse the phone and see all of the files. I've found Receive a File in the notification area but it just sits there waiting for the phone to send, rather than asking me which files I want. How do you browse to the phone in Windows? Thanks :) |

I'm honestly trying to give Windows another chance but keep running into little problems like this, and they all add up. I understand that Windows 7 isn't finished, but I'm surprised that you'd need third-party software to do something as simple as browse a device. Of course, there's little point in ranting to PressF1 about it :p It's a Nokia 6275i, and while I can successfully initiate a send from the phone it's a pain to have to physically navigate through it. I'm much more comfortable with a mouse and in OS X I can transfer all of my photos without touching the phone. |

With mine it is a combination of the Bluetooth software and the nokia software I think, I don't have it installed at the moment. Plus text through the phone from the PC, or add/delete/alter contacts/contact details |
