540357 2007-04-12 04:59:00 Are they any good? I lent my VIsta Ultimate DVD to a friend and it's come back with tons of scratches over it mabix (10146)
540358 2007-04-12 05:07:00 Hmm. there is both a moral and a message here (I suppose.) R2x1 (4628)
540359 2007-04-12 05:08:00 It will probably work, depending on where you take it to.

But you shouldn't be lending out visa anyway :p

540360 2007-04-12 05:53:00 Yes, I used the service available through Video-Ezy to resolve a problem with my W2K CD. Cost was minimal, service quick, and it came back as-new. Video shops (or the people they use) have the best technology because they need it, given the animals that rent their products.

I attended a trade show a few years back that was selling CD/DVD refinishing machines and they are quite hi-tech and very effective.

Cheers

"The Animal" CD / DVD rented by animals have been found returned with animal marks! :D

Cheers :)

540362 2007-04-12 09:09:00 Yeah they work quite well.
I have take a few of my badly scratched cd's to Video Ezy for cleaning, was a few years ago now. I got about 90% success rate- One failed but it was severely scratched. They improved it at least.

540364 2007-04-12 21:25:00 I went into the video shop down the road from here - the disc was unreadable (an LCM's Monolopy CD). They charged a $5 fee and told us to come back in 10 minutes. The disc was like new. pcuser42 (130)
540365 2007-04-13 03:20:00 I would like to know who in Christchurch provides this service as I couldn't find anyone who would do it in less than one or two weeks. :(

Our local video shop said their manager takes them home to do, which I didn't like the sound of, especially when they said he would take a week. Tried one Video Ezy and they were going to send the disc away which would take a fortnight.
