739893 2009-01-17 21:38:00 Hi Everyone

After reading this, (www.ipmart-forum.com) all the "...Just open “%windir%\System32\Shell32.dll” file in Resource Hacker and then goto..." is driving me nuts because if I try to disable WFP (Windows File Protection) it never works!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I've tried this (www.askvg.com)
Tried this (fileforum.betanews.com)
And this (www.microsoft.com)

Any ideas????????

Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!

739894 2009-01-17 21:43:00 So, WHAT exactly are you trying to do?

If youre trying to change themes etc, I would be careful with what files you play around with. It can make a system unusable

739896 2009-01-17 22:08:00 Like I said this probably means replacing files, which is what WFP is for.

It protects system files

Buy Vista.

Avoid crap websites.

739899 2009-01-18 02:52:00 The CrystalXP Vista Inspirat 2 (www.crystalxp.net) pack is just as good as that - and installs itself with no hacking of DLLs required.

The easiest way, however, is just to buy Vista as pctek said. No level of customisation in XP will give you Vista! You can't get Aero or any other attractive effects in XP. The best you can get are the ugly Vista Basic themes.
