739627 2009-01-16 23:27:00 Hi guys (and gals)
I'm having an issue with installing my Battlefield 2 game on my computer, I have installed the game and the patch needed for updates and this is where my problem begins.
When I try to open the game I get the "Please insert cd into cd-rom and restart application" window.... yes I do have the cd in place... and that's as far as I can go, I've read on many forums about similar problems and have tried all there solutions but none have worked (9 hrs of reading and trying solutions)
Any help will be much appreciated...

hey driftwood, yes I tried all of that too using daemon tool and alcohol 120% a friend suggested it was something to do with vista as the game is a legitament copy that I bought from a shop...(sigh) this is becoming a real headache....:groan:

739630 2009-01-16 23:43:00 Thats probably why, dont use daemon tools, use a real cd/dvd

Or take it back / send an email to whoever made the game

hey speedy, I bought the game a few years back and have only just found it again, daemon tools and alcohol was a last resort which still didn't work, really at my wits end on this, also had to unistall CoD4 due to it being being corrupted somehow by CoD5? Another vista problem I've read about but I really can't understand this one as these are legimate cd's not crack's or copies..?

739632 2009-01-16 23:58:00 I run a dual boot XP & Vista so I can run all that older stuff.
If it won't run on vista in XP compatability mode you may have to look at that too.
