| 739526 | 2009-01-16 22:01:00 | Annoying and persistant error with windows update. OS Vista SP1 error (80240016) windows is currently installing updates please try again later. tried again later (waited 2 days) error persists. Help appreciated Note Also had a problem with a virus w32.tidserv. norton removes but as soon as i reboot W32 comes back. i think its blocking some stuff from microsofts download site (tried to update BITS but IE7 reported the site could not be found) W32 could also be restricting acess to the windows update server through windows update. |

| 739527 | 2009-01-16 22:04:00 | Uninstall Norton and get Avast! or Nod32(paid) Download, update and scan with MalwareBytesAntiMalware and SpywareTerminator Download Dialafix and see if it fixes the problem. Post a HijackThisLog here. Blam |

| 739528 | 2009-01-16 22:20:00 | Disable system restore, then reboot and scan it again with Avast or something else And scan with Trojan remover / malwarebytes below. Update them first But dont use either of the above if its 64 bit they wont work |

| 739529 | 2009-01-16 22:43:00 | If neither of the above fix it, get Gmer (gmer.net) It removes rootkits, which is what tidserv is I think Site for this is here (gmer.net) Read this first (gmer.net) |
