739230 2009-01-16 06:30:00 I know this has been bought up before, but I am now finding LOTS of free pdf readers so would appreciate any reccomendations as I have found some pdf readers a bit primitive in the past.

I have used Foxit to date but it was a trial version and stopped working without warning, so I hope some new freeware version is up to a similar standard?

739231 2009-01-16 06:33:00 I found Foxit to be crap, nice and small, But unable to print specific parts of the documents, This was in relation to building plans. Metla (12)

739234 2009-01-16 06:52:00 I originally used Foxit.
I soon realized that any unicode characters in the path of the pdf file can't open.
Which is bad. Since I type chinese.

Good idea, foxit, but missing some stuff. Stick with adobe's bloatware

And not last the integration of the foxit bar in windows explorer which I found totally unnecessary.
Tough, it was fast opening files-faster then acrobat 8 anyway.:stare:

739236 2009-01-16 08:42:00 Foxit was the only free one that would open pdf's from air NZ for me, Sumatra couldn't nor could the other free ones I tried. gary67 (56)
739237 2009-01-16 21:40:00 Not to say Foxit is the best, but personally I like using it. :)

blam6: It would be interesting to see how you can type Chinese rather than Mandarin on a keyboard. Should I be concerned? :p

[Edit] Foxit Reader is able to display Chinese characters on my laptop (Version 2.3 Build 2923): www.imagef1.net.nz

Cheers :)
