| 739104 | 2009-01-15 20:34:00 | This computer's MB is dead and managed to get hold of an old GA-8I645GVM-RZ MB everything works fine except the F-USB connection. The MB's F-USB header has the following pins: 1 - Power 2 - Power 3 - USB Dx- 4 - USB Dy- 5 - USB Dx+ 6 - USB Dy+ 7 - GND 8 - GND 9 - No pin 10 - NC But, the USB cable from the front Casing has only the following pins: Data+ Data- G +5V How do I connect the front USB to the MB? |

Yes - pins 1,3,5,7 are for one port and pins 2,4,6,8 are for the other. 9 & 10 are just there to provide a key so that you can't put a full connector in around the wrong way (although in your case they may not do anything) |

So, I can either: 1. connect both the USB Ports to the same header, or 2. connect 1 USB port to header No. 1 and the other USB port to header No. 2. |

If the USB plugs are not in a "block" but are separate single plugs, they will usually have markings on the plugs to say which ones they are; you must keep the numbers in the same row as well as the right pin arrangement. Eg: number in circle 1Data+ 1Data- 1+5 2Data+ 2Data- 2+5 |
