540831 2007-04-13 10:25:00 Is anyone in the Wgtn region,(specifically Newtown) experiencing long delays or missing messages when texting on vodafone?

I have a house with at least three people who've all been sending texts but their messages haven't been going anywhere - no replies from any of the friends they've texted, and texts directly to each other aren't getting through.

Oddly enough - their credit is getting used up on each attempt though.

Cheers

540832 2007-04-13 10:27:00 Its happening to me (im sending texts from napier -> tauraunga)
Doesn't seem to be localized.

I thought it was just mine or the recipients phones. apparently not.

540834 2007-04-13 10:42:00 Thanks for the quick reply. So glad its not just me - but kinda annoyed at vodafone. I've heard of this happening before but never had it myself.

Probably an excellent moneyspinner for vf since people keep sending and resending texts just to see if they get thru - but very unfair on customers who probably deserve a refund of some sort (no point in getting an invite to a movie or a party that was last night).

540835 2007-04-13 11:51:00 There has been some ongoing delays in the receive of text messages for some Vodafone customers. It is best to phone up the customer service (777) and check with them whether they have done something to your number.

Cheers :)

540836 2007-04-13 12:43:00 I got a similar problem and also got a problem with getting free txt messages from vodafone...turns out they arent free...the annoying thing is dat i didn subscribe or enter any premium txt service...now i hardly use my mb for txting just only to make calls...to my bestmate and use the remaining credit to browse through WAP sites... 540837 2007-04-13 21:25:00 At Christmas, my cousin (on Vodafone) sent a txt to me (on Telecom). I was collecting her number, so we were in the same room. It was an hour before my phone displayed an alert for a new txt. pcuser42 (130)
