739827 2009-01-17 09:16:00 Hi,

I have an ipod touch thingy whatsit, with plenty of music stored on it. My computer has since been restored and I have created a new playlist with new music that I have never had on my ipod.

Can I add this new playlist to my ipod without deleting the existing music?

Thanks!!

739832 2009-01-17 10:14:00 You can lol, apple just encourages you to use itunes.

You probably can, can't you just pull the music over?

If they're mp3 files they should be added to the library automatically

Oh I just love that.

You PROBABLY CAN

Does this mean you might be able to? In the event a person takes your advice and loses all other music on the thingy I assume you will take responsibility and restore the thingy with all data.

What does pulling the music over mean?

739834 2009-01-17 10:29:00 In itunes you cant just drag and drop the music over. There's this "sync" thing which involves clicking a box which says something like

"would you like to add the selected libary/playlist? Doing so will erase all data on the ipod and replace it with selected library/playlist"

Or something. You get the idea.

Puzzling.

739835 2009-01-17 10:35:00 You can try using something else, like Sharepod:

And here's a tutorial:
