739250 2009-01-16 05:44:00 I took a bunch of photos but had forgot to set the date on the camera to the correct time, so it says they were taken 1/1/1999 when infact they were taken 15/1/2009, im running vista, so i went to the properties and edited the date taken, but when i uploaded it to photobucket, it still said it was taken 1/1/1999! Is there a way to change the actual date taken? As i like to sort all my images by the date, it would be annoying having the wrong date on the photo... deno240 (13664)
739251 2009-01-16 06:22:00 Is it embed on the photo?
If it is, you can use something like Inpaint (www.giveawayoftheday.com) which is sometimes available on a giveaway of the day(basically a website that offers free software for 24hrs)

739252 2009-01-16 07:04:00 You need an EXIF editor to change the date taken, which is embedded in the photo data.

Use Google, there are free EXIF editors available, you just change date and time within the EXIF data. I am assuming that the date is not on the photo, as suggested above.

739253 2009-01-16 07:14:00 You want this, professional photographers use it. Depending on your camera it also tells you how many shots your camera has done since manufacturer without a significant chip board replaced on warranty.
www.opanda.com

You can also use some other general photography software which may have a feature that you can adjust the timezone back like if you went overseas. But if your clock was the wrong year it won't help. See above - Opanda.

739255 2009-01-16 07:36:00 No the date isn't printed on the actual photo, if it was then i know that couldn't be edited. I did google exif editor but couldn't find any  :annoyed:

I'll try that opanda site..

739258 2009-01-16 07:55:00 I think I had googled "Edit EXIF Data" or something along those lines, i did find one but it was quite confusing.. Anyway, that Opanda is good, I managed to change the date time, but when i uploaded to photobucket, it still had the same date but i had managed to change other data in it. And before you ask, i did press Save.. It just didn't save the edited date! deno240 (13664)
739259 2009-01-16 08:05:00 K just had another look and didn't realise there were 3 different dates i had to change, this time it worked. Thank you for recommending Opanda :) deno240 (13664)
