| 540633 | 2007-04-13 00:42:00 | I went yesterday to have a look at a HP Indigo press, for work yesterday. Very impressive. Has anyone here had any dealings with these machines or has anyone had anything to do with digital print in general. Our company is looking into this avenue. Although not new to digital print this would be a major step. | plod (107) | ||

HP afaik has the print head in the ink cartridges so that can be some what safe bet. Calibrate the monitor and use the printer's ICC file should be v good, if its for professional work maybe consider getting your printer profilled. |

They clog when you take them out, then put them back a while later. Leaving them in is the best way to STOP them from clogging. |

| 540637 | 2007-04-13 08:14:00 | The HP Indigo is not quite like an Epson A3 printer. :D Bloody hell (www.unt.edu/benchmarks/archives/2003/may03/printing.htm). That's probably not the model plod saw, but it will be similar. I have an idea that it might cost a little bit more than an Epson, too. | Graham L (2) | ||
| 540638 | 2007-04-13 09:45:00 | yeah, I should have been more specific. The indigo is a commercial press for a production environment. I did recall there being a few members in the publishing/design industry. Thought there might have been some people that have come across these sort of machines or xerox equivalent. P.S yes Graham quite a bit more then an epson printer. In fact you could buy two average houses in a desent suburb in wellington |
