I think as a website it is an excellent example of what not to do. I find it slow loading on Broadband and on Dialup it's a major joke.
The "Yoursay" section is normally weeks out of date before the postings are listed and they appear to be heavily censored.
You try to make a posting and they have the validation code that is 'rather' hard to read and 9/10 results in invalid entry.
And yet they have been voted best news site frequently. Perhaps the voting process needs the space to vote for Best and Worst.

Not really part from it been slow one it a while ( It seems better now) & some of the ads or something on there site does not like firefox as when I have a few Stuff.co.nz tabs open my CPU usage goes up.

I have seen that section updated almost every few hours, plus that section would need to be censored, as some people can get very upset or angry at a news story.
