543766 2007-04-24 02:52:00 Anyone know any fun games that I can play 1vs1 over the internet?

Just... whatever. But not freeciv, because I can't be bothered playing for that long.

Wish my wireless didn't lag so bad.

543767 2007-04-24 07:01:00 Tiberian Sun.
Age of Kings/conquerors.
Battle for Middle Earth.
Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.

All should be dirt cheap second hand or even new. All run well on low spec'd machines. Tiberian sun, and almost certainly the others, works fine even on dial up.

543772 2007-04-24 09:00:00 You can do 1vs1 over the net on those? mejobloggs (264)
543773 2007-04-24 09:37:00 I think so
Usually there is some sort of option where someone creates a game and then other players type in the hosts IP address and there you have it, 1vs1 (or 2vs2 or ...) just as though you were playing over a LAN (only with more lag of course).

543774 2007-04-24 10:08:00 If you can find it, look for Black & White 1.

Black & White 2 also exists, although B&W1 is much more fun.

They're a game where you are a god and you control your followers and help them build villages, civilisations and stuff. You get to fight other gods for the beliefs of neutral villagers.

And you get to make miracles, like fireballs or lightning, or even godly rays that obliterates anything in its way and its surroundings.

You'll be addicted to B&W1. Sooooo, soooo, sooooooo fun......
