543959	2007-04-25 05:48:00	I believe they don't elect to use those services, But when crap is sent from Asia the final delivery is handled by NZ Post. Imo the best way would be to have a word to the delivery person, If he wont play ball then forbid him from touching your deliveries, write a complaint to someone or other. God knows, I tend to either get what I want or I cut off my face to spite my head, and be damned happy to do so.	Metla (12)

If not, expect them to try to leave it in the office, after all it IS a hostel... Failing that it appears procedure is to leave it in the hall for those that live there to sort out.... Yes this is loose, but what else is the courier supposed to do? Change your addy to the post office.... The Hostel office is not a post office, and it is not up to the courier to find your room anymore than it would be up to the courier to find your room in a private house. I'm always in my room when it gets deliver but the courier guy just can't be bother looking at the door and reading the number.I mean its only 6m away.Walk thru a patch of grass look on the left and there's my room	Ninjabear (2948)
543961	2007-04-25 07:20:00	I agree with personthingy here, they are delivering to the property. If you lived in a hotel room, the delivery would be made to the reception desk. I do not see how that differs to your case. What would you expect them to do if they delivered to your room but nobody was in it to answer the door, which would be the expected case in a Uni hostel, when you were in class? They could leave a card in my mailbox cos its located outside and the gate from there is locked at around 10pm and opens up at 6am	Ninjabear (2948)
