543368 2007-04-25 02:46:00 You could almost say "Shielded Twisted Pair(s)" or "Unshielded Twisted Pair(s)", but that is too easy to say, and too hard to type.
;)I did say it, earlier in the thread.

543369 2007-04-25 02:53:00 Ah, but those were TLA's, I never use those. ;) ;) R2x1 (4628)
543370 2007-04-26 06:33:00 Cat 6 cable differs from previous versions in that it has an extruded spacer which maintains a distance between the individual pairs. This helps to control the impedance, and allows its use at higher frequency (up to 500 MHz). But it's still unshielded twisted pair.

Perhaps we should call it "Better Unshielded Twisted Pair" with the FLTLA (Four Letter TLA) BUTP.

543371 2007-04-26 07:18:00 Excellent - Any advance on dear little BUTP ?

How about FITWTW "Fastest In The World This Week"?

(Apparently "Fastest Unshielded Cable With Inbuilt Twists" is not suitable for the PC.)
