US Navy replica 36 cal "Cap & Ball" revolver J.C. Higgins 22cal Long rifle, semi-automatic, tube feed M1911 45 cal pistol, military sportorized version Hmmm shame about the Garand and the Mossberg, might have been handy. And a .38 would be useful under the bed surely? ;) Lots of good points there Joe which I'll have to chew over. Suffice to say I can't think of an American I've known who was gung-ho on guns. Most don't even think about them. |

| 542264 | 2007-04-20 05:37:00 | Surfer, The Warehouse is a Kiwi version of K-Mart. They tried to expand into Australia but I think that is gone now. Interesting reading. It seems doubtful to me that Cho Seung-Hui could have been screened to stop a shop from selling him guns. As you say: "I don't like anyone looking into my garbage or lifestyle or reading my mail or spying on my computer activities or questioning my loyalty to my wife, children and parents. I find it nasty enough that I have to bare my soul to buy a home, a car or even buy some beer to prove that I am of age, can financially pay for the loan or am a parent in good standing in some bureaucrat's files somewhere. And this I see as the real problem. How far will you go to make sure your neighbor isn't a gun-nut or some sort of WMD-maker or a mad bomber..etc..etc.?" |

Most don't even think about them . I might have mislead you a little . . . I like guns . . . love the mechanics and the actions . . . etc . . . but I don't have any as I feel that I don't want the responsibility of owning them . Kinda hard to explain . . but I sincerely feel that way . Like . . . . . . . . it is my right to not own one as much as it is to own one . |
