739948 2009-01-18 18:13:00 Popfly has a "Web Page Creator", among the other mashup tools. somebody (208)

I have had hosting with Greg on this forum for about 2 years now (email only, never needed the web side of it) and couldn't be happier with the service (its never gone down).

I would recommend you look into a paid one rather than free.

739950 2009-01-18 19:28:00 Would Wordpress provide an option?

I know it's specifically for blogging, but if it's simple thats required, then maybe it could do the job:)

wordpress.com

That's actually a very good idea - I use Wordpress as a CMS for a couple of non-profit sites I host for free, which makes it dead easy for less-computer-literate people to update.

739953 2009-01-19 20:33:00 Thanks very much, everybody, for your helpful suggestions. I will check and advise my friend. linw (53)
739954 2009-01-20 05:30:00 Does your friend realize he can get paid hosting for less than the price of a cup of coffee per month? I wouldn't waste my time with free hosting to be perfectly honest - the risks aren't worth it. maccrazy (6741)

Would you be able to tell where?
Thanks

not being an idiot or anything but what risks are you referring to? server downtime?

- downtime
- sudden inclusion of banner ads etc on your site
- the hosting provider disappears/goes out of business
- etc

Anyway, I quite like NearlyFreeSpeech.net
