2009-01-20 01:50:00 | 1GB = 1000MB 1MB = 1000KB So, 0.2GB = 0.2 x 10^6KB = 20,000 KB Unless you meant Kibibyte? :)

2009-01-27 08:27:00 | I've been caught with this before - it's a file in the recycle bin | Paul.Cov (425) | |
2009-01-27 08:52:00 | If I'm not mistaken every folders have a hidden file that does something to regulate the contents of that folder. When you copy all those files to an external, the hidden file is not copied with the rest. Someone shut me up if I'm wrong.

2009-01-27 08:54:00 | Someone shut me up if I'm wrong. Wrong, but on the right track. It'll most probably be a hidden file used for some meta-purpose, but it won't be anything to do with the directory itself - all that info is stored in the filesystem tree where it belongs.

2009-01-27 10:29:00 | Hi guys, thanks for all the replies. Finally managed to sort it all out the long way. Have just come back south after seeing the grand children, much more important than one lost file. Lugged the old pc up next to the new one and did an eyeball check across the two screens, everything checked out okay. Did a scroll down and right click on properties on both screens and the answer was identical on both. The difference must have been in using My Computer on new pc for properties and it's details. Lurking. Ps. Old pc now been dumped. lurks.
