| 740202 | 2009-01-19 06:02:00 | I have a server with Win2K3 Std installed. It was using the windows RAID solution in RAID1 (mirrored) mode. This morning the server couldn't boot as it displayed an error indicating one of the windows files was corrupt. I've booted off the Win2K3 disks and run chkdsk which didn't fix the problem, neither did a repair install. The system just keeps restarting. My question is, is it possible to copy a data folder located on the root directory using the windows recovery console onto a flash drive or another storage device? Will it let me do this? Thanks for your help in advance. |

| 740208 | 2009-01-19 07:41:00 | Yeah, will try that tomorrow. It boots to the windows recovery console so the windows folder is in tact. I was hoping to browse around using the recovery console and try and extract data using that environment.... | GR8Metal (14133) | ||
| 740209 | 2009-01-19 09:13:00 | Would you like to upgrade that silly software Raid solution to a Hardware Raid solution?....Trouble with windows software RAID, is its function is determined via a windows service!..... I could let you have an adaptec 2100S PCI raid controller for .........less than $80. PM me..... |
