| 1434481 | 2017-04-23 04:31:00 | I received a free prize "Lotto Dip Bonus" of 4 lines (= $2.80) for 3 matching numbers. This was from a $16 Triple Dip. Seems this 7th division was introduced April. Note - the 7th division is not present in the NZ City web site. (home.nzcity.co.nz) But present in the more comprehensive NZ LottoResults.co.nz site. (lottoresults.co.nz) Funny - first time for months I took my ticket in, without checking it. Otherwise may have discarded it, knowing only 3 numbers matched. Though if I check online official site... So pays to actually visit a shop to scan Lotto tickets, rather than checking certain web sites, or relying on past knowledge of prize divisions... |

The justification is all those community groups who would be poverty stricken. Actually people might have more to donate directly if they weren't wasting it on these tickets. |

| 1434488 | 2017-04-24 09:22:00 | I am very annoyed with Lotto and their 6 and 7th divisions. We are only 4 million people not 300 million like the USA and Europe. I would like to see the pathetic div 6 and 7 prizes go and that money divided up into divisions 2, 3 and 4. That way many people could get say 40 or 50,000 which would be life changing for most people. (do the maths) $20 or $12 is just pathetic, and they hope that you re-gamble it. I only buy lotto as part of a syndicate, as I think that $12 for the chance of winning powerball is a waste of my money. I buy Bonus Bonds instead. If there were more chances of winning $50,000 then I would buy Powerball each week. |

Digby said "I buy Bonus Bonds instead." That's been said on here in the past, we had a lot of luck with three wins of $5,000, but now with only $20,000 invested the returns are pretty scarce toooo. Might have something to do with the latest numbering of units having a better chance. lurking. |
