1433974 2017-04-10 04:23:00 I couldn't figure out how to remove and replace the rubber wiper blade of my Toyota Corolla.

Google searched came up with a few Youtube instructions, but couldn't find anything similar mine as shown above.

All other cars I previously owned were fairly easy to remove and replace the rubber blade but not this one.

Anyone here owns a similar one?

1433975 2017-04-10 04:36:00 That there is a hook. Rotate the arm around and it should slide out plod (107)
1433976 2017-04-10 05:25:00 Problem is, it cannot be rotated the arm around 180 deg, otherwise, it would be fairly easy, just to slide out the rubber blade and replace it. bk T (215)
1433977 2017-04-10 05:34:00 Tilt and pull the arm back towards the slot. A bit hard to explain but it will come off plod (107)

Used to replace rubber inserts on all our cars from: 1952 Prefect, 1960 Prefect, Mark11 Cortina, Lancer, Sigma and now leave it up to Garage for March and another Lancer.

1433980 2017-04-10 06:27:00 Is it a frameless wiper? On my new frameless ones, you squeeze the lower sides of the body/enclosed bit. Then lift up the upper portion/cap at the end (facing towards the middle of the window). Then slide the wiper out of a tilting slide off the J shape arm, within the enclosed body bit.

You should see a horizontal dividing line along the body/enclosed bit in order to achieve the above. However I tried to replace the rubber wiper - but it's a pain to replace, because two strips of metal runners/supports fell out. Becomes a bit difficult to replace entire wiper components. Gave up and bought another cheap one on eBay.

i did rear wiper too - bit harder because it was just stiff as, i.e. rotate 180, but gently tugged back/forth several times until it released. Then replaced -pulled back off plenty times. then became easier to pull off.

1433981 2017-04-10 07:09:00 Try lifting up the small square plastic plug at the end of the metal arm to reveal the hook. jebby (4580)
1433982 2017-04-10 07:14:00 The problem I had with my Camry is I was pulling it in the wrong direction, tricked by the hook shape. I got the guy at supercheap to do it and watched him and felt stupid, they do it for free if you buy from them though so why not. dugimodo (138)
1433983 2017-04-10 07:33:00 Lurking: I've watched the youtube video but could not find the 'pin' he was taliking about to remove it. They look different from mine as shown in my attachment.

dugimodo: going to supercheap could be an option.
