1434109 2017-04-13 10:07:00 Against ALL predictions Taranaki looks like its getting dumped on, with Wellington next. Where next Gurus? Laggard (17509)
1434110 2017-04-13 10:29:00 Hawke's Bay has had constant rain getting heavier as the day went on'but hardly any wind. Now, after tea, it is blowing hard enough to make me turn our 2 glass top outside tables upside down from the deck onto the lawn. Strongest wind for a long time! Just about lost the bigger one till SWMBO rushed out and helped me. She was right chuffed as it was persisting down. :)

Supposed to ease off overnight.

1434113 2017-04-13 20:31:00 Thought it would pass us.....
Hawkes Bay and BOP, had some drama, trees, power cuts etc. Haven't rung my mum yet, bit early for her...

Edegcumbe escaped more flooding.

1434114 2017-04-13 20:53:00 Still raining here this morning but will stop soon I think. No wind last night or today. gary67 (56)
1434115 2017-04-13 21:15:00 The whole thing has been a massive Media beat up. Sure it got a bit windy and wet in a few areas but we have all seen far worse. If the powers that be are not careful they are going to be ignored when a really big problem is on the way. The little boy who called wolf story covers it quite well. CliveM (6007)

All good here pctek. Couple of trees down here in Napier - McDonald St in Napier South for one. Beautiful morning here now. Havelock North copped it. Lots of trees down there. Lots of homes still without power all over. Lots of tree detritus all over the place when I went for my walk this morning.

Not really a media beat up Clive. It was pretty rough here last night! Depends where you are I suppose. As far as the weather warnings that sometimes seemed a little premature, I think that "they are damned if they do or damned if they dont"

I'd rather be prepared for nothing than be caught out in a cyclone. pcuser42 (130)
