| 1434850 | 2017-05-02 22:34:00 | Hard Drives can go faulty, and still pass every test known to man The only way to be sure is to clone it to a spare drive & see if the spare HD causes the same issues. Of course it could be: cables, mb fault, windows issues, Winupdate issues, issues with other drives, issues with other hardware... but I would treat that SSD as suspect, untill proven otherwise |

| 1434851 | 2017-05-03 10:58:00 | As I mentioned earlier, this PC now works OK but it seems I spoke too early: Windows pop up: "Unrecognised USB device" (something to that effect) . I have only the keyboard and mouse connected to the USB ports and they are all working OK. Checked Device Manager and found this: 8025 What is this about? |

| 1434854 | 2017-05-03 23:09:00 | What causes this kind of intermittent errors? Its a bit like saying, 'what causes my car to not start' . Could be literally anything, you have to trace the cause of the issue(s) , starting with the more common causes & work back from there . common causes : HD fault, power supply bad, OS issues , RAM faulty, RAM slots bad, motherboard fault (on older PC's) . USB issues could be anything, motherboard, cabling, Windows, drivers, USB device etc etc |
