| 1434101 | 2017-04-13 03:42:00 | 56mm overnight, spits of rain, clearing hopefully for the start of the Yealands Classic Airshow this weekend. They reckon there will be an influx of about 30,000 people, at Omaka this weekend. :) | BobM (1138) | ||
| 1434102 | 2017-04-13 04:04:00 | It went around that the Auckland harbour bridge was closing this afternoon!! A bit of an overreaction I'd say, we've had a bit of light rain during the day which is getting slightly stronger, no noticeable wind,in Pukekohe area. We are a lot closer to the storm than Auckland city, plus weather radar shows the more intense areas curling away and heading south. Feel sorry for HB (again)! |

| 1434104 | 2017-04-13 05:27:00 | I see Auckland is panicking over nothing again Who? The weather people? The officials? Those living over the shore? Me, I told the courier I think it's a big nothing over our way again. Ranui to be specific, it often is, even when other parts of Akld are flooding etc. And going by MetServices maps, looks like the east of the north again. Feel for those in Edegecumbe etc... |

| 1434105 | 2017-04-13 07:54:00 | We were saved by Civil Defence. Without their chanting and dancing, the Harbour Bridge would have blown away and the Tide Surge would have covered None Tree Hill. So, by dint of Orange Cones on Rangitoto and Councillors heads, the rain gods were propitiated and only two chickens and a cyclist needed to be sacrificed. All we got was some surface flooding (much milder than those other types of flooding). ;) |
