Eset haven't done anything that bad before but there has been a few bad AV updates that caused a few issues in the past.
No one is perfect.

1434601 2017-04-26 09:15:00 Seems these places don't actually test the updates. I can understand if some update may have an effect on some particular program, BUT to basically attack the actual operating system Files ---tisk tisk.

Seems they are doing a better job than the infections they are trying to stop. ;)
