| 1485205 | 2022-03-30 00:43:00 | I have no problem with it being a Te Reo name....but something slightly shorter would be nice | psycik (12851) | ||
| 1485206 | 2022-03-30 01:17:00 | I always enjoyed thinking Maori names being used to test intoxication. I always recall struggling to pronounce Awarua Street correctly to the train staff when they would ask what stop I needed "excuse me sir, have you been drinking?" "No" "then pronounce Te Ara Nui o Te Rangihaeata correctly first time to prove it" |

| 1485208 | 2022-03-30 01:41:00 | There's an immediate problem with the new $1.2 billion, 27km Transmission Gully stretch of motorway out of Wellington, officially opened this morning: mobile blackspots. The head of an industry group says the patchy cellphone coverage stems from the limited access that Spark, Vodafone and 2degrees got to the project during its construction and the telco's design plan being ignored - and that he understands the solution will involve smashing up parts of the new motorway. "The mobile network operators produced a design plan to provide coverage on Transmission Gully back in 2020," says Paul Brislen, head of the Telecommunications Forum that counts Spark, Vodafone NZ, 2degrees and Chorus among its members. "Unfortunately since then, mobile operators have not been able to gain access to the area in order to build any mobile infrastructure prior to the road opening. "That means that while there is existing coverage at the terminus ends of the TG road, and some incidental cover along its length, the planned coverage has not been put in place," Brislen told the Herald. What's the problem ?? Shouldn't be on the Phone while driving anyway :confused: Love the final parting shot in the article: There have been lengthy delays to the opening of this road because of Nationals botched Public Private Partnership. We have cleaned up their mess so commuters going in and out of Wellington will finally be able to use the alternative route. :D:lol: |
