| 1484651 | 2022-03-01 20:39:00 | We have an aging samsung phone we were going to replace but it got dropped and the screen is unworkable so no swipe to unlock. It was still working but the screen deteriorated quickly. Plugged into pc it can be seen but no files available. I see various apps to unlock but some reviews are off-putting. The new screen would cost $170 .. is this the way to go to retrieve data etc. Thanks.. |

| 1484656 | 2022-03-02 22:12:00 | You may need it working before you can get the data off :( With the PC you can get the Windows WhatsApp software but that doesn't hold any old chat history only new ones. The new version also works without a phone. In future consider turning on regular automatic chat backup with Google Drive. |

Yesterday it took me 20 minutes of trying to unlock the phone, pull down the menu and reset the mobile hopspot. I get my new phone today. It's going to be fun trying to use the smart switch to transfer data. |
