1484164 2022-02-05 03:40:00 Any way to stop MS continually adding Documents & Pictures folders to Onedrive. Driftwood (5551)
1484165 2022-02-05 04:02:00 Disable it gary67 (56)
1484166 2022-02-05 04:14:00 To Add top Garys Post -- Disable the folders you don't want added if you still want some backed up.

Here's how -- In The Icon Try ( normally bottom Right) locate the one Drive cloud, right click it, Settings - Under the Accounts Tab, click choose folders, untick any folder you don't want backed up - Click OK. :)

If you want to disable it completely -- Press Ctrl+Alt+ Del, select task manager - Startup Tab- (If the tabs are not there, bottom Left, click on "Show more" Then they will be.) Disable Microsoft One drive.

OR

As above from the One drive Icon -- open the settings, Settings Tab, untick the box " Start one drive Automatically when I sign into Windows"

1484167 2022-02-05 06:46:00 Ah, maybe I didn't explain the issue correctly.
I actually use Onedrive to share files with other systems & devices.
I don't use it at all for backup.
But it keeps regenerating a documents folder every couple of days & a picture folder maybe once a month.
I just delete them when they appear.
My main folder on Onedrive is called Onedocs & everything goes into that.
I have unselected Documents & Pictures from the Choose Folders, in settings.

1484168 2022-02-07 20:08:00 uninstall it. Reinstall it & be very carefull with what you sync , untick the defaults
Also, look at whats stored in the cloud . Its just ree-creating whats in the cloud onto your PC.

If there are folders you dont want regerneating all the time, delete those folders off the onedrive cloud store

1484171 2022-02-08 07:44:00 I have about 10gb of data in ondrive.
Dropbox is only free up to 2gb.
I've also tried Google drive, but prefer onedrive.

1484172 2022-02-08 09:54:00 Folders take up no significant amount of space, just ignore them. dugimodo (138)
1484173 2022-02-10 04:32:00 Problem with that is they have the same name as other folders I use in other parts of the system. Driftwood (5551)
