Not paranoid as it does happen and more often than people realise

1485316 2022-04-05 08:37:00 I wasn't too bothered about the security question thing. It didn't ask for the name of my first pet or my grandmother's maiden name :)

But if it asked for the names of my seven starving wives, I might have been a tad bothered. Or where my step-daughter practises her profession...

Why waste your time with that sort of thing anyway? Surely you have something better to do? I would hope so.:waughh:

I mean when making security questions/answers for online accounts etc.

If you use real answers, people who know you well, or a hacker stealing your data would be more likely to know the answers.

Better to use fake answers you only keep in your head, just like your passwords.

I allways use a fake date of birth , when asked that online ,

1/1/1984 . Easy to remember
Its surprising the number of sites & online services that ask for date of birth

I also have a junk , 2nd email a/c (gmail).
Thats really usefull when I dont want to give out my main email adress .

Facebook , I didnt even use my correct name .

Wouldn't it be better to take the average of all the answers and use that a little constructively? 42 doesn't have any decimal places at all. That doesn't give you a credibility score in the fashionable range, never mind a pc quotient rating.
