1485471 2022-04-11 22:41:00 in preparation for the manned landing in a couple of years . . .

that should be planned manned landing

The SLS is so ridiculously expensive , this may never happen .
Dont forget, USA govt is broke, they have no money, literally living on borrowed cash .

A moon landing could be the 1st thing to be cancelled after budget cuts . Just look at all the proposed missions that were cancelled over the last 50 years
eg : US Presidents have called for Mars landings , cancelled before they got started

So NASA's SLS, which throws multi million $ engines into the sea each time, its a huge waste of money .
Private US companies, with reusable rockets ,will do it cheaper .

Only a matter of time before NASA's SLS & moon landings gets cancelled . NASA may never go back to the moon in the foreseeable future, just because the huuuge costs with no real benefit
They still havnt solved the issue of the very real risk to astronauts lives from comic rays/particles , and solar mass ejections . A trip to the moon could be a death sentence (It was just sheer luck no one died in the apollo moon missions)

They also need to build a replacement space station , as ISS is well past its use by date :-(
Wheres the money coming from ?
