1484711 2022-03-03 03:54:00 I have been using the free version of MYKI for the last few months as a across-device password manager. However, the company has been sold and the software will be discontinued next month.

So ... I am looking for recommendations for a new password manager. It needs to sync across Windows and Android apps, have good security and friendly to use. MYKI data was not held in the cloud, so that was a good security feature.

Open to decent freeware or paid/subscription. Any suggestions (and reasons why you recommend it)?

Thanks. :)

1484712 2022-03-03 04:30:00 I use Keepass2 but it does use the cloud, dropbox in my case. Review here proprivacy.com
I believe there is a compatible windows app but I just use it on my phone

1484713 2022-03-03 05:07:00 I switched over to Bitwarden once LastPass screwed over its free users - been great so far. pcuser42 (130)
1484714 2022-03-03 06:07:00 Keepass here. Have it syncing to my own cloud (Nextcloud here at home). Have it on windows and iOS (KeePassium) psycik (12851)
1484715 2022-03-03 06:26:00 Keepass here too (on my local "cloud") decibel (11645)
1484716 2022-03-04 03:33:00 I see Keepass has its own android keyboard to avoid the clipboard being a security risk. Do you just switch between your regular keyboard when required? Is that annoying?

Bitwarden looks good too. A few reviews about being less user friendly or intuitive to use.

MYKI has been good, but it did obsessively offer to login on some sites that I didn't have saved details. To enter your own username/password you had to click the login button (navigate around the MYKI prompt) and not push enter otherwise MYKI overrode it. Do the other password managers do anything similar?

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

1484717 2022-03-08 07:28:00 Trendmicro as part of their security suite? Chris Randal (521)
1484718 2022-03-12 17:53:00 I have gone with Bitwarden. I see what they mean about being less user friendly, especially after using MYKI. I will try it longer, but if it doesn't grow on me I will look at the other suggestions. Jen (38)
