1484280 2022-02-12 03:42:00 Yes, what happens is that it is not fully opening and is not in a "window". It is stuck at the top of the screen and does not have the buttons top
right - to minimise, to resize or to close. The program is Adobe Lightroom 6 - the last fully paid up/standalone version, before Adobe adopted
the subscription model. Obviously I have closed and reopened it, rebooted, etc but the problem persists. Apart from what I have just stated
the program still continues to work as before.

Attached is a copy of my screen with the problem 'non-window', my Excel showing behind Lightroom. The next try had Lightroom full screen
but again no controls upper right! :(

I use a Windows 10 (fully up to date) desktop with two screens because of my serious photo-editing hobby. It is good to be able to move this
and other programs/images, etc between the two screens. I have not tried reloading Lightroom 6 as would prefer not to take that step.
Do you think it is a program problem or a Windows problem please?

1484281 2022-02-12 20:28:00 The problem is looking like its lightroom. You appear to have changed the settings somehow.

Have a watch of this video onyoutube www.youtube.com Around 4.50 minutes looks like your problem as well as solution.

1484282 2022-02-13 04:02:00 Brilliant wainui, you are a marvel !! :clap :clap How you found that, I don't know, but it worked. I initially tried the pressing "f", but no joy.
However, I kept watching and she said to use 'Shift + f' for version 5 onwards (I have version 11) and it fixed itself right away.

Many thanks indeed.

I might be wrong, but didn't Adobe, in their wonderful generosity, start telling people that continuing to use those old programs now constitutes piracy, because Adobe deems it so? And that they want everyone to get on the sh!tty subscription model ASAP?

1484284 2022-02-17 19:13:00 Never seen or heard of this, Agent _24. We bought a license with no end date,so no way to enforce this. Sounds like a conspiracy theory! I, for one, don't hate Adobe, it is that their subscription model does not suit me. Serif Affinity Photo forever!! Misty (368)
1484285 2022-02-17 19:22:00 Just carried out a search and the Adobe site says that Lightroom 5 onwards are still supported. Earlier versions are not (ipso facto, which means that people can still use versions 4 and prior, but are on their own if problems arise). Misty (368)

Your product may be old enough to be unaffected
The story is here: appleinsider.com

I don't know what version of Adobe products this pertains to as I don't use any of their programs.

1484287 2022-02-18 20:45:00 Hi Agent_24, just checked to be sure, to be sure. On the Adobe Forum (which is an official forum) in the last couple of days there have been queries relating to Lightroom 6, one of which was how to restart it in a new PC. An employee from Adobe, helped a poster do just that. Misty (368)
