2009-01-23 14:03:00 | Recently built a new system, but there are a few problems I would like a bit of advice on: 1)Most of the time when I turn on the PC I can see that everything is running inside the PC but there is nothing on the monitor(it says, "No Input). Sometimes, however, if the PC sometimes makes a short beep when booting and then I will see stuff on the monitor, i,e bios, then OS. I've updated/flashed the bios to the latest version but still no luck. 2)When I change the SATA mode to AHCI I get a BSOD with this stop code: Stop: 0x0000007B (0x80599BB0,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000) Googling STOP code shows nothing of relevance 3)CPU runs at 38 degrees idle, which seems a little hot considering I've paired it with an AC Freezer Pro7 Specs are: E8400 running at stock AC Freezer Pro 7 Asus P5Q-SE Sapphire 4850 500gb Seagate HDD Gigabyte Aurora 570 Antec Neopower 650w Asus DVD Multi drive Oh, an speedy, since you have the Asus P5Q-SE/R Mobo, can you tell me how to remove the GFX card? Usually its pull straight out for most mobos but for this one theres a notch thingy locking the GFX card in place...and I can't reach it since its covered by the 4850...:crying Thanks Blam

2009-01-23 20:33:00 | I dont think the P5Q series mobos have AGP does it?? I'm using the PCI-E x16 slot . Thats the only way you can remove the thing at the end I think . Dont try and force it out, you'll break something . So you installed windows in IDE or ACHI / Sata mode?? It sounds like you changed it to IDE, installed Windows, then changed it to ACHI mode? If this is the case, change it back to IDE mode . This is probably why its crashing . The only way you're going to stop it crashing, (If you did the above), is if you reformat . You have to put the SATA drivers, on a floppy, and install therm during the installing But stop 0x0000007B looks like it means inaccessible boot device . Did you connect the data and power cable to the hdd, if it's a SATA??

But doesn't vista have SATA drivers on the install cd already?.. Yes, I've connected everything properly to the HDD, but the hard drive is one of the newest seagate ones....so that may be a problem. Should I return it? |

2009-01-23 21:23:00 | You push the blue / whatever colour it is down to remove the card . At the end You could try installing Vista in ACHI mode, you'll have to extract the SATA drivers to floppy (from the mobo cd first) . I dont think the Vista cd has SATA drivers, on it . You'll soon find out (if you change to ACHI in the BIOS) . It wont find the hdd, if you dont extract the SATA drivers to floppy, then press F6 when it says to press F6 . Its not one of these hdds with the firmware prob is it? Whats the model of the hdd? If I dont reply the forum is way too slow to do anything . . It takes forever, just to get here

2009-01-23 21:50:00 | What's the beep that you get? Look it up in your manual. 38C is practically freezing. My comp gets up into the late 60's sometimes so don't worry. Could be problem with your RAM?

2009-01-23 22:52:00 | It sounds like you changed it to IDE mode in the BIOS then installed Vista . Then changed it back to SATA / AHCI mode in the BIOS Thats where this Stop: 0x0000007B (0x80599BB0,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000) Comes in . Inaccessible boot device . Its trying to load Windows (but since you changed it to IDE mode / then changed it to AHCI after Vista had been installed, (the SATA drivers arent installed), it cant find the hdd . Which would also happen, if you try and install Windows (in AHCI mode), if you dont install the SATA drivers, during the install of Windows
