| 741282 | 2009-01-23 00:13:00 | Hi :) Running MS WInXP Prof on Intel Celeron Proc, 761Mhz, 521MB. Drive C - Master: disk size 9.75Gb. SysRestore setting at max 12% 1198MB. Drive D - Partition: disk size 9.22Gb. SysRestore setting at max 12% 1133MB. Drive F - Slave: disk size 8.21Gb. SysRestore setting at max 12% 1234MB Any suggestions on what limit I should put on diskspace on each drive for System Restore? Cheers, Marg |

| 741283 | 2009-01-23 00:23:00 | Unless you install anything on D an d F. I wouldnt bother with System restore. Its just taking up space Disable it on these partitions I use 1 hdd, but its partitioned into 3. C, H. and I I see no point in enabling SR on H and I, the only thing on both are install files / updates And its probably not a good idea doing it on small hdd's.. You'll run out of space |

Adjust the slider percentage to give about 400MB...4% on the C drive, turn off system restore on data drives/partitions as SG suggests. This setting will give more than an adequate number of restore points. Remember that each time system restore is used or altered, the slider bar will revert back to a 12% setting |
