544366 2007-04-26 02:07:00 It hadda happen . . . the Star Wars Trilogy+++ including retro-prequels and such, and now the Shrek Trilogy .

Sad though . . . I wonder if Eddie Murphy is still the voice of Donkey .

There was a commercial on the TV (Telly, NZ) just now here for a soft drink (NZ, carbonated non-adult beverage) that used the characters . . . UNDER license, I have to suppose .

The voice of Shrek was right on . . but Donkey was a clone-ish voice that I HOPE is not his voice in the movie .

I live only a few miles from Hollyweird, and am not the first to learn of things (NZ is on a day-ahead schedule with the International Dateline and all), and youse guys probably (NZ, prolly) get the news afore me . . . tell me:

Is there a contract problem and Eddie didn't do the voice-overs this time or not?

And, speaking of movies (flicks, NZ), I just saw "Happy Feet" Has anyone there seen it yet? Comments?

I could hand deliver a copy to youse guys (one-at-a-time) under the US "Use by proxy law", but I'd have to be there in your home to view it the first time to keep the proxy part legal and all .

I will gladly visit every one who wants a copy . . . I eat a regular diet, high salt and lots of fat . Beer or a good single-malted Scotch is preferred, but the beer has to be cold, not body temperature .

Metla owes me two beers at this time and I'd like to stop by to collect from him if someone knows where he lives, after all . . . it's a very small island . . . right?

And we don't want to invoke the wrath of a NZ-US coalition of lawyers who want to cause any troubles . . right? Far be it from ME to get the MPAA or RIAA all up in arms over this .

I actually fear the Mods here to tell the truth . . so let's keep this a secret from them . . . OK? :D

Anyone want to send me around trip ticket to NZ for the purposes of getting their own personal copy, and meet a Yank, (the noun, not the verb)?

544367 2007-04-26 02:21:00 Sorry Joe, I saw the movie "happy feet" the other day on an international flight and "garfield" on the return leg.

Happy feet was a but light on entertainment in my view, the benchmark is still "Chicken Run" www.aardman.com

If you haven't seen that one yet, try to get the DVD.

544368 2007-04-26 02:24:00 Sorry Joe, the majority of the beer here is kept at body temperature except for a short and unavoidable period just after manufacture, and during transport when it is chilled. (Beer that has not yet reached it's destination is only pre-beer since it has not gone through the vital phase of passing over a tongue and warming to working temperature while absorbing digestive juices.)
Maybe it's different where you are what with the sun being backward, driving on the wrong side and your feet being toward Alpha Centauri at entirely inappropriate times of day. If you find this confusing, more beer will help.

544369 2007-04-26 02:30:00 Got Chicken Run "saved" in a nice digital place.....errrrr....

PS MODS: I OWN Chicken Run. got the original copy right here in the original cd-case with the receipt...

Wish youse guys had a "use-by-proxy" law too.

Maybe a quick, surgical invasion would get your leader(s) to see things the right way.

Which beach can youse guys afford to lose for 2.5 million years (half-life of Strontium 90 or U235..I forget which) with the small yield nuclear attack?
