I could argue that speed is mostly wasted on a cabled LAN, but Im in a good mood tonight so we wont go there ;) Either way, while its nice to be able to do it, its both ethically / morally & legally wrong to do-so. Still, end of the day its the OPs choice, not mine. When I was at a friends place a short while ago I noticed their neighbor had unencrypted & unrestricted WiFi. Apparently it'd just gone in a few weeks ago. Wasnt difficult to go for a quick walk up and down the street to figure it was the house one-down, across the road with the new Wireless. Helped them secure their network, they were happy for me to use it for emails etc when I was passing by, and made myself $50 in the process of doing so. Only took 15 minutes to help the middle-aged couple :) They turned out to be quite nice people! |

I would have, but they insisted they pay me for my time. I figured "Why not?" ;) I never actually asked them for anything, and told them initially I didnt want payment. It was just a nice little bonus. |
